On the face of it, that looks like an easy ride into the semis for Tom, but the Serb dumped out the German third seed, Robin Kern (WR 371), by 5 & 4 earlier....

Tom serving for the set at *5-4 in his QF match. Already 7 breaks of serve out of the 9 games so far......Tom often has matches like that......wonder if serve is a relative weakness.

It's very strange because when I saw him play, serving seemed to be his biggest strength!

You may be right, Steven. Never seen Tom play, but he has certainly been in a number of recent matches which had the WTA type look to the scoreline - almost as many breaks as holds of serve.

I know you're right about the stats, just thinking it would be interesting to see one of his matches this year and see if his strengths and weakness have changed.
