I like your thinking It is remarkable how Laura seems to up her game vs these girls though.
Radwanska going for her serve a lot more than usual, she clearly knows what a threat Laura is on weak serves. Will be interesting to see how Aga maintains her service though. Also, early signs show Laura looks more suited to the clay, Aga doesnt seem able to produce enough power to cut through the court and even her usual angles and trickery seem limited vs Lauras power
4-3* first set and interestingly poised. Biased though I am, Laura has looked better and Aga hasnt made any in-roads in Robsons service.
Interesting to see Lauras confidence in charging forward and putting away some tricky drive-volleys very comfortably in the corners. Even the dropshot - lob combination that I imagine Aga thought would win her many few points proved to be futile.
