Just spent the entire evening organising the logistics and collecting the minibuses for our trip to Madrid. Seems like I missed all the fun.

Well, you can't fault her choice in practice partners. Edit: Actually, other tweets suggest they were just on adjacent courts. As for playing better the 1st match after the split with a coach, that's quite common in football.

Ivanovic wins easily 6-2 6-2 in under an hour and will play Laura tomorrow.

Ana looked in pretty good form - I would say about as good as Laura off the ground but also serving at 66% with 6 aces and only 1 df.

Should be a good watch tomorrow - Ivanovic is favourite and Laura will need to recreate yesterdays form but if she does I think it will be very close.

I don't think Ana will relish playing the young pretender, but ultimately I think she will still just have enough game, could be three sets or 2 long ones.
