RE: Week 18 - ITF $10K - Edinburgh, UK Clay

Yeeeeeesssss!!!!!!

She's only gone and done it!

What a comeback.
What a COMEBACK!!!
What a win!

Saved 4 match points, and took it on her own third match point.

Just fantastic - improves her career best win by 125 places.
Superb! Well done Katy

0-6 7-5 7-6(7)

C'mon Katy! Doing it for Hertfordshire.... Anyway, I'm really glad to see Anna backing up her super 1st round win (though obviously its a shame that it was at the expense of Danielle). Maia also looks like she put in a competitive appearance.

Not content with her singles exploits Katy has also reached the doubles semis with regular partner (in junior events) Pippa after another close match (10-8 in the match tiebreak)

Anna consolidates a break at the start of the decider: 2-0*

My Serb friend, Srdan, usually well informed about Slavic tennis in general, tells me that general opinion 'at home' is that Miss Jorovic will become their best ever female player to date!

Edit: forum doesn't like a d with the stroke throught the stem in Serbian names

Katy Dunne's SF opponent will be Laetitia Sarrazin (FRA) [7] 618 (CH 527 02/2013) - a regular $10K QF level player.

Here is Coup Droit's summary prior to the R1 match against Jess Ren:
Laetitia is a petite girl, was previously French national champion in the 15/16 category and has played less but has been making very good progress and beat Jessica easily a couple of weeks back.

Edit: pesky quote function.
