Well done, Ms Smith. The others, too. But that's a lovely win for Ms Smith.

Anna Smith wraps up the remarkable turnaround in her match, defeating Danielle 6-4 6-1
Next she will play Serbian 15 yo prospect, Ivana Jorovic, who today knocked out the 8th seed, Chloe Paquet.

Edit: Additional - Jorovic is coached by Naomi Cavaday.

Danielle off to an absolute flyer against Anna *4-0
Anna has actually had more break points, but Danielle is winning two thirds of all points at the moment.

Maia Lumsden competitive against WR521 Carolin Daniels, but currently down 3-6 *1-2

Anna smith's run of consecutive games is halted at 11, as Danielle breaks when Ann served for the match.
Anna: 6-4 5-1*

Katy Dunne just started against WR536 Negreanu - the Romanian took her break chance, Katy could not take either of hers.
Katy: *0-3

Maia: 3-6 2-4*
Games scores and point splits suggest, to me at least, that this is a pretty even contest though, which is promising from Ms. Lumsden.

Maia's was a good, competitive but, ultimately, unsuccessful effort today; she loses 3-6 4-6.

Well done! Katy takes the second set in an admirable effort following that first set scoreline. Can she cause a big upset?
Katy: 0-6 7-5

Jess Ren (with Kontaveitt) took the first set in her doubles 6-3

Good stuff from Anna, following up yesterday's excellent win after a slow start.

I think she is still looking the most likely to really venture into that huge black hole in the rankings that exists after the GB top 13 ( though with points due to come off soon, Mel looks like entering it from the other direction ! )
