Well done to Jonny for qualifying, but poor reward. An intriguing battle of two of the 92s who have been rivals for quite a while. Jack won when they played last year in Poland, but it is rare for Ashley to be ranked above him in either ATP or in the later stages of their junior careers, after Jack recovered from an injury in 2008 which kept him out for several months.

Still don't know the result but Fitzy's opponent was replaced by a LL, namely Jarryd Bant, which is presumably why it disappeared off live scores.

So 2 Byes and 4 walkovers in the first round. It seems to be happening a lot lately, guys sign in for the doubles and then withdraw after they lose in final qualifying or main draw first round of the singles. It isn't something that I approve of.
