RE: Week 17 - ITF $50K - Charlottesville, USA Clay

I think that will give Nic a rise of over 50 places to just outside the top 250.

Well done to Nic and Coco excellent win - a last minute pairing by all accounts,

Just caught the majority of the second set and from what i saw the standard was actually very high. Nic struggled a bit on her serve, but she was excellent at the net and with her forehand.

6 different British ladies in 5 different finals this week, and 3 titles.
Not bad at all

Great stuff from Niks. I'm assuming she's planning on playing the rest of this run of 50ks in the states?

I said at the start of the week that they were probably well matched personality wise, but on court looks like even more so. Great work.

Nik jumps 60 places to a new doubles career high of 253, just 4 points from the top 250!

Yes, you most certainly get an honourable exception

For those who elsewhere doubted Twitter - I only use it for Tennis news, generally feeling the same way - consider this:

As well as a classy glowing tribute from Judy Murray to one tweet, another of Nicola's tweets after her victory got a reply from... Chris Evert! Chris Evert!!

That's got to be a thrill and the sort of direct connection unlikely to happen in any other context.
