Comfortable wins for Gabi, Anna and Katie, but Harriet appears to be in a rut. Gabi has a severe test next against the world number 26, though Katy Dunne managed to beat her twice late last year

R1 (L32)

Gabriella Taylor (GBR) d. (WC) Carmen Garcia Pardo (ESP) 6-1 6-0
Sara Ottomano (SUI) d. Lana Rush (GBR) 6-2 6-3
Anastasia Nefedova (RUS) d. (5) Harriet Dart (GBR) 0-6 6-2 6-3
(Q) Irene Burillo Escorihuela (ESP) d. Alannah Griffin (GBR) 6-1 6-2
Anna Brogan (GBR) d. Jessica Simpson (RSA) 6-4 6-3
(2) Katie Boulter (GBR) d. (Q) Maria del Rosario Canero Perez (ESP)

R2

(1) Veronika Kudermetova (RUS) v Gabriella Taylor (GBR)
Anna Brogan (GBR) v (Q) Ana Roman Dominguez (ESP)
Alexis Prokopuik (CAN) v (2) Katie Boulter (GBR)

A good day for the girls, starting with another result reversal for Harriet - this time in her favour - followed by 3 wins and a highly respectable scoreline for Gabi (assuming the results are correct this time). If the winners are correct then Harriet's next opponent double-bagelled last week's G1 winner.

R2

(1) Veronika Kudermetova (RUS) d. Gabriella Taylor (GBR) 7-6(2) 7-6(3)
(5) Harriet Dart (GBR) d. Marie-Alexandre Leduc (CAN) 6-4 6-2
Anna Brogan (GBR) d. (Q) Ana Roman Dominguez (ESP) 6-3 6-2
(2) Katie Boulter (GBR) d. Alexis Prokopuik (CAN) 6-0 2-6 6-4

QF

Sara Ottomano (SUI) v (5) Harriet Dart (GBR)
(8) Chiara Grimm (SUI) v Anna Brogan (GBR)
Melanie Stokke (NOR) v (2) Katie Boulter (GBR)

Katie advances but there's no fairytale victory for Anna. Harriet plays tomorrow and will look to avenge defeat in the doubles by Ottomano today (all British involvement in the doubles now over)

QF

Sara Ottomano (SUI) v (5) Harriet Dart (GBR)
(8) Chiara Grimm (SUI) d. Anna Brogan (GBR) 6-1 6-2
(2) Katie Boulter (GBR) d. Melanie Stokke (NOR) 1-6 6-3 6-1

SF

(8) Chiara Grimm (SUI) v (2) Katie Boulter (GBR)

Heartening signs of reasonable form from Harriet at last. Her semifinal opponent is on a 14 match winning streak (mainly in G4s) having upset the top seed, and easily beat Gabi in last year's European Summer Cup

QF

(5) Harriet Dart (GBR) d. Sara Ottomano (SUI) 7-6(6) 7-5

SF

(7) Marie Bouzkova (CZE) v (5) Harriet Dart (GBR)
(8) Chiara Grimm (SUI) v (2) Katie Boulter (GBR)

According to the club website Harriet misses out but Katie makes it 3 straight finals (6 in singles or doubles)

SF

(7) Marie Bouzkova (CZE) d. (5) Harriet Dart (GBR) 6-1 6-4
(2) Katie Boulter (GBR) d. (8) Chiara Grimm (SUI) 6-4 6-4

F

(7) Marie Bouzkova (CZE) v (2) Katie Boulter (GBR)

According to the club website "Turno 1º Inicio 10.00 horas Pista Central Final individual femenina
Marie BOUZKOVA (CZE) (7) vs Katie BOULTER (GBR) (2): en juego 61 63 BOULTER" smile

So unofficially Katie claims her first junior ITF title and should move into the top 30

Excellent news in another otherwise pretty barren week for GB tennis.
Very well done to Miss Boulter.

Luke Milligan confirmed it: "yup. Won the final 1 and 3. Super performance."

... and it has since gone up on the drawsheet
