Like Steven said not spectacular by any means, i actually got quite bored with it. Think Kyle definitely should focus on racking up points at futures level for this year
In the end, serving probably the difference: James served just about OK, Kyle very poorly today (is this known to be a weakness, or rather a shot that will become a weapon in the course of time) - almost no free points whatsoever. I think if the players had swapped serves, the result would have swapped too.
Not much to choose between them off the ground - each with some fine shots and glaring errors. Perhaps Kyle threw in too many poorly executed drop shots at the wrong times.
Enjoyed it though, and it's fair to say that even though James has a lot of points to come off soon, with a real risk of falling outside the top 250, I think he's certainly playing top 200 level again, perhaps even top 150. If James serves well next round and his forehand doesn't let him down too often, a decent chance to progress, even against the top seed.
