This doesn't look good. Earlier this morning Josh's match was down to be on the ITF live scores site. All other matches are still on there but Josh's match isn't.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if Josh has withdrawn. As I said yesterday, ankle injuries are normally far worse the day after because it takes a while for them to swell up.

It is still showing for me.  And I have just done a full refresh.

I've just opened it, and it's in the upcoming category.

Josh: "Ahhhhhhhhhhhh! Had to withdraw! So disappointed, this was a great week to get myself bk on track! Hopefully be back in action soon #crutches"

Josh's ranking will now slip to around 290-295 on Monday week and with a lot of points to defend over the summer things aren't looking good. 33 points from eleven 10K futures where he was top seed every time is a very, very disappointing return.

There was a time when we were hoping there would at least be Brits regularly in action on a Friday (other than in 128 man qualifying draws!)

Following discussions last week about use of twitter I wonder if I was the only one to think that a certain British player didn't exactly cover himself in glory in that regard this afternoon. Football has always caused tribal passions but one would hope that a supposedly grown up professional sportsman would have the good sense not to descend to such lows.

Just saw it. Disgraceful, and got the sort of response it deserved as well. Should be more adult than this!
