I guess my Emily and the winner of Lisa vs Katie prediction just became Emily and Lisa :)
And all the Katie predictions just did a nose-dive !
But thrilled for Lisa - that she won, that she felt OK, that she enjoyed it. What could be better ?
Katie's got juniors, after all.
(NB should add that the Katie prediction includes mine ! As said, I was going for the kindergarten version of Freya and Katie. However, I'm always happy when the 'older' lot do well - after all, there's plenty of time for the youngsters. I've even got a soft spot for Stepanek this afternoon - age 35 and going strong, brilliant !)

GB on a shirt, Davis Cup still gleaming, 79 years of hurt, never stopped us dreaming ... 29/11/2015 that dream came true!
Victories for Manisha and Gabi taylor, according to Soto:
"Manisha foster wins rd 1 in pre quals for Wimbledon beating Maia Lumsden 63 62 - next up tomorrow at the All England club at 11 am vs G.Taylor. Best of luck Nish"
I actually think Dart and Christie will win the WCs would be my tips. Can see them chasing Katie Katy and Eleanor up the rankings. These 5 will make the women's game strong for us in the next 2 or 3 yrs I think

Aah, but it's a tad easier when we've got the results of the first round
Although, yes, it's a good to have a group of girls, all successfully moving up to seniors, making their mark and showing lots of promise. Let's hope Eden and a few of the other younger ones (Izzy etc.) will also join them. Freya is the only one who's really taken my breath away (although I've never seen Eleanor) but it'll be interesting to watch them.

Two rounds are scheduled for tomorrow, but the second of these could be cancelled if Wimbledon decide to allocate QWCs to the last 4 (has happened occasionally in the past)
R2
(1)Emily Webley-Smith v Harriet Dart
Freya Christie v (wc)Isabelle Wallace
(2)Lisa Whybourn v (wc)Jasmine Asghar
(wc)Gabriella Taylor v (3)Manisha Foster
I have been at the Playoff Today (In an official capacity) and can confirm that Wimbledon was looking wonderful in the summer sun.
The "Finals" of the Pre-Qualifying will be held tomorrow - obviously it is possible that additional QWC's will be awarded on the back of it but the intention is certainly to play the matches.
