The first of two weeks here sees Dominique Covington and Freya Christie as the top seeds. Also seeded are last week's finalists in Turkey, Jasmine Amber Asghar and Emily Smith, together with Anastasia Mikheeva. Emily's recovery could well be tested by an Italian with some good results in the few tournaments she has played. The full draw can be found here:
The first round has been completed with a major upset, as 13 year-old Ellie-Rose Griffiths (highly rated by someone who watches a lot of our top juniors) defeated top seed Dominique Covington 1-6 6-2 6-2. Ema Lazic upset the Danish 4th seed whilst, as expected, Emily was tested severely - prevailing 7-5 in the third
Just one more top seed lost today - the Italian fifth seed accounted for by Eden Richardson. Anastasia Mikheeva plays 6th seed Anastasia Reimchen from Germany tomorrow and will look to replicate a victory over her in Edinbugh last year. Freya Christie has only dropped a handful of games so far
Nastya M replicated her win to join Emily, Jasmine and Freya in the quarter-finals, who all won comfortably. Seven Brits make this stage, the one exception being a Georgian qualifier yet to drop a set in her first ITF tournament, so could pose a threat.
