For those of you who enjoyed the recent clay Spanish Futures series, where Bob "The Scoop" provided on-the-ground commentary and back-stories, this tournament also provides a chance to cheer on our favourite Spanish son, Pablo Carreno (AKA "Buster"), who Bob watched live when he played Kyle in a relatively tight match.

Not content with his 35 ITF $10k victories in a row (42 from 43 in 2013) and 7 tournament victories, he appears to have allowed himself a brief and well deserved rest before embarking on phase 2 of his comeback - Challengers and ATP Events. He entered qualifying here in Casablanca and, you guessed it, has now won another 3 matches (38 and counting) to reach the MD, having beaten the world #138 in the FQR, from 1 set down but going away in the third.

In GB he'd be front page news, in Spain......

Mr Carreno currently on live stream against Andujar, who by the way WON this 250 Event in BOTH 2011 and 2012, so he certainly likes this Moroccan clay!

Just switched on at Carreno 5-4* where he broke Andujar to love with 3 superb winners to take set 1.

Win or lose today, this boy is seriously good!

Well, they gave the fourth seeds a run for their money, but couldn't quite pull it off:

R1:  (4) Daniele Bracciali & Potito Starace (ITA/ITA) WR 97 defeated Mikhail Elgin (RUS) & Ken Skupski WR 123 by 6-7(4) 7-6(6) [10-8]

Couldn't've been much closer! cry

I know he isn't a Brit, but for those of us on "Busta" watch, he is currently 5-3* down to Kevin Anderson in the 1st set. Bit difficult to play against big serving Anderson when he has an 82% 1st serve percentage.
