They looked down and out after the 1st set, goodness knows how they won that!
Jamie's 8th title (but first on clay) and John's 1st. It also ends the Bryans' 19-match winning streak in Houston (they won in 2007, 2009, 2010 and 2011, didn't play here together in the missing two years) stretching back to a loss to Kohlmann & Waske in 2006. They had only lost 2 sets in total in those 19 wins.
What chance Jamie will now commit to John and stop 'defecting' to Andy to keep his ranking up? It might be a very good move for both their careers ...

Ive just looked up Jamie atp tour starts for the year and out of 9 tournaments he played 6 with Peers and 2 with Fleming at the start of the year and just one with Andy. I'm sure if Peers can get his ranking high enough to get into the masters they could become a permanent partnership.
