To be fair to the LTA, they have always stated very clearly that being top 250 only means a GB player will be considered for an LTA recommendation for a Wimbledon MD WC ( or words to that effect ) i.e. that it is necessary to be top 250 ( occasionally ignored ) or an exceptional young player, but top 250 in itself doesn't necessarily bring a WC.
That said, Boggo has oftem been treated badly ( not just re WCs ) by the LTA, and if he is top 250 and in decent form, for me he should certsinly get a MD WC. I mean we are likely to have so many candidates...not. But I do have real doubts that he would get one.
If you want to set up a petition, it would really be too late aftet the announcement is made, so I'd suggest getting it going early, say if and when Boggo gets himself clearly into the top 250.
Pleased to see he dug out the win. Chance for revenge on rdv too.
As for wimby I feel coming through qualies would be better, although if offered a md wc naturally he would take. Bit concerned about the negative press that follow

It's often been an LTA problem, certainly under the Dodger, being TOO concerned about negative media coverage as opposed to doing what most folk who really follow British tennis think is right.
Too much trying to pander to a media that so often shows not a lot of knowledge of basic facts about tennis.
