Either Shorty has a problem or he has come across a ringer on the rankings as he was bagelled in the first set and immediately broken in the second.

 The Frenchman has mainly been racking up lots of wins in Futures qualifying this year but he did also upset a top 400 player last week.

last week's runner up on the verge of going out in the first round. Marcus a break up in second set.

I assume/hope Marcus' withdrawal from the British tour final after 1 set was to catch a plane and not an injury.

So, 3 Brits played in R1 so far and all have lost to lower-ranked players in straight sets. cry

Josh has just started against the youngest of the three Djokovic brothers. 1-1*

Alex Ward is the current GB expert on how to beat AAM, having given up just 6 games to him both times they have played in the last few months.

The Greek players must be quite miffed about Marko and Djordje both getting wild cards here purely because of who their brother is. Marko lost in R1 too.
