First set to Laura 6-2. Both breaks after very long games I think, and held serve from 15-40 to win it.

Courts seem to suit her game pretty well.

Laura broke at the start of the 2nd set but then dropped serve thanks to 3 double faults in the next game.

Score looking OK so far, but already 9 BPs faced, so very misleading perhaps. After 5 service games, 8 DFs and just 33% first serves in play. Only 2 aces. How long have we been talking about Laura's serve being a superb weapon in theory, but she needed to sort out her DF and first serve % issues. 4 years. 3 years. Surely this is straightforward to sort out via coaching, and its hardly related to surface. How much of a boon would that one shot be to her success?

Very comfortable for Laura, but still struggling a bit on her own serve. Agree this is the area where she could improve her game significantly.
