What is it about Josh and 1st round matches this year? 4 R1 defeats, and now 2-4* down to an unranked Greek wild card bleh ... yet whenever Josh has survived R1, he has made the semis or better.

Far be it from me to disagree with Steven ( I've gone and double checked what I already thought ! ), but I make it that both Ashley Hewitt and Matt Short will be back in the top 25 on 15th April as long as no very unexpected ATP / Challenger exploits occur next week.

Yes, Matt has 2 points to come off next week, but Morgan Phillips has 15 and Jack Carpenter has 6.

Eithet that or Steven's records are wrong LOL

You're right - I had remembered that Morgan was going to drop out but only made sure Dave and Ashley weren't going to drop behind, I'd forgotten about Jack's Ho Chi Minh SF coming off. It would have been right on next week's table, of course, when I'd have done it more thoroughly.

In fact, drops for Jack and both Morgans (as in M Phillips and George M) mean 6 Brits will move up in/into the GB 21-30 range on Monday week as things stand:

21 (=) Burton 31
22 (=) Gabb 30
23 (+2) Rice 25
24 (+2) Hewitt 25
25 (+2) Short 22
26 (-2) Carpenter 20
27 (+2) Bambridge 18
28 (+2) Farquharson 16
29 (+2) Broady 14
30 (-7) Phillips 13 (Martin & Morgan also on 13)
