Jeremy was telling me last week that Annie played well last time in Mexico and even against Savchuk in defeat so it looks like she has maintained that form and maybe she has found a better way to manage the foot condition she has.
Unbelievable serving stats from both players. Both 80%+ on first serves. As you say, it was similar for Keothavong in her last match, pretty sure she won all 10 of her service games against Beltrame. Good to see. Amanmuradova's opponent in the first round (Zarina Diyas, I think) won her first four service games to love too, courts must be pretty quick.

I've never really thought of you as one of the big punners before, SC, but if you're making a bid for the hall of fame (*), that's a good start
(*) I mean hall of shame, obviously - but that's somewhere any good punner is proud to enter
I'm not really, & am in no way making a bid to enter the hall of fame/shame. Indeed, other posters often get there before me with the more obvious ones, but that one was just too hard to resist when I spotted it.
