Ah, so Eva did tweet in the end - I'd noticed she was usually quite reliable (and fun) but last checked just before she tweeted by the looks of it! She had 3 set points in the 1st set, hence the bit at the end, which is a Dutch expression that can be translated quite a few ways - "b*ll*cks" probably the most accurate in this case!
"67 63 36 verloren van Whybourn. Eerste set drie set punten niet benut! Balen balen balen!"
Sorry for Eva, then, but very happy to see Lisa in the QFs!

Poor Naomi - I wonder how many match points she had ...
L16: BROADY, Naomi (GBR) Q 355 lost to ABDURAIMOVA, Nigina (UZB) LL 300 (CH 293 in Jan) by 1-6 7-6(10) 6-2 L16: WHYBOURN, Lisa (GBR) 279 beat WACANNO, Eva (NED) Q 1039 (CH 542 last Jun) by 7-6(1) 3-6 6-3
QF: WHYBOURN, Lisa (GBR) 279 v SCHMIEDLOVA, Anna Karolina (SVK) 2 192 (CH 184 in Jan)
Schmiedlova lost to JoKo in Eilat and generally hasn't had a good start to 2013 (after a very good end to 2012), so hopefully a chance ...

Good that Lisa got the win though will no doubt need to step up a fair level in the QF. Sounds not too unpromising, with recent form to me rather more important than ranking among comparatively closely ranked seeds.
Or maybe not ... though that is indeed what it says on the ITF drawsheet! Never slow with a correction (that's a good thing, btw ), Lisa says: "@GBtennis your source is rubbish, 5 and 3"
QF: WHYBOURN, Lisa (GBR) 279 lost to SCHMIEDLOVA, Anna Karolina (SVK) 2 192 (CH 184 in Jan) by 5 & 3
She should hit another career high around 270 on 8 April after a decent week.
In case they've corrected it by the time you read this - proof it's not just SMC and me going mad:
