RE: Week 13 - Vietnam F1 $10,000 - Bac Lieu City - Hard

Great news for both of them.

I get the feeling that they both in great shape physically and that will stand them in good stead in the tough conditions.

Soto tennis have tweeted to say both seeds won in the other two matches. So that means

QF: (5) Andrew Fitzpatrick WR 510 v (3) Roman Jebavy (CZE) WR 442
QF: Josh Ward-Hibbert WR 1121 v (2) Lucas Pouille (FRA) WR 410

Tough matches, but wouldn't it be great to see two more wins an all GB semi final.

Pouille was the guy who beat George Coupland and Ashley Hewitt in Bath before being upset by Tom Farquharson in the QFs.

Hi guys, another great day today.
As I said before I was just going to battle. Lucak served well today, didn't expect him to serve as big as he did.
I saved 3 match points in the tie break and had a few set points myself at 5-3 him serving and 5-4 me serving. Both long games.
Feels great to end the run.

Its nearly impossible to play normal tennis out here. Not even good tennis. A mixture of the balls (babolat trophy)...maybe someone can google them. They are what I can imagine british school kids getting for tennis lessons or something. Poor at best. And the weather.

Third set was a break down, had a long game to break back and from 2-1 his legs went, which is always good to see.

Didn't see any of josh as he finished way before me and was on the same time. Good back up win from him. See what we can both do tomorrow.

I'm seriously sun burnt.

Well done Fitzy! Good luck in the next round - and take care of that sun-burn!

QF: (5) Andrew Fitzpatrick WR 510 lost to (3) Roman Jebavy (CZE) WR 442 by 4 & 2
QF: Josh Ward-Hibbert WR 1121 lost to (2) Lucas Pouille (FRA) WR 410 by 2 & 1

The 1st set of Fitzy's match was particularly close - 1 bp each, I think, Jebavy taking his and saving Fitzy's. A pity neither of them could reach the SFs and get some decent points, but both did reasonably well this week and 2 points each is a lot better than none.

This Pouille looks like a decent prospect.

Congrats on QF runs to both, hopefully they can keep building!
