RE: Week 12 - WTA Premier Mandatory - Miami, FL, USA - Hard

Great effort in the second, but their opponents suddenly found another gear at the end. SREPET have been very impressive so far this year and especially in finals, so to expect our combo to claim another huge scalp when the pressure was on , in hindsight was asking too much.

They're not playing together next week, but one things for sure I would love to see them together at the French and for sure at Wimby.

Bah !

But it looks like they did well to regroup in that second set and overall that has been a tremendous week for the scratch pair, combining Lisa's huge ecperience and doubles success with Laura's youthful exhuberance and great quality shot making.

A win in the final would have been a really great icing, but it was still a really very good cake !

A good run, and definite potential - not sure how Sam Stosur feels about all the positive talk and conjecture about the future!
Anyway, surely good experience for Laura, who will be meeting up with Genie no doubt next week - look out world.

According to a courtside tweeter Laura was indeed nervous in the 1st set making lots of errors, nothing about what happened in the second. You have to think though that coming on after that very long nervy previous final with Muzz it can't have been easy at the start.

Confirmed that they will play Wimby together and were in good spirits during the PC.
