Good to see another win for Laura (and Lisa) in the doubles. Hopefully this will be a confidence boosting run.

Potentially Errani & Vinci in the semi-finals, which of course would be a tough match and a step up even from today's opponents.

They do have a chance of winning the title now though - especially as anything can happen with the no-ad/match tie break doubles rules.

Why not indeed. As was said earlier, between them they have already won 79 WTA doubles titles including 6 Grand Slams !

Just to prove this isn't a onesided partnership, Lisa hadn't won 3 matches in a row for about 10 consecutive tournaments, so youth inspiring the vet as well as the other way around.

QF: (WC) Lisa Raymond (USA) & Laura Robson defeated Ekaterina Makarova & Elena Vesnina (RUS/RUS) [4] 6-3 7-5
SF: (WC) Lisa Raymond (USA) & Laura Robson vs. Sara Errani & Roberta Vinci (ITA/ITA) [1]

Both Errani & Vinci are still going in singles, and will have Sharapova & JJ to contend with respoectively, and hopefully they'll put a bit more fatigue in their bodies before the doubles SF
