Great to see Boggo beat AeM again, and even more convincingly than in Lexington last year He's only the second Brit to reach a Challenger singles QF this year after Wardy in West Lakes.
L16: Alex Bogdanovic WR 310 beat (Q) Adam el Mihdawy (USA) WR 355 (CH 295 last Jul) by 2 & 4
QF: Alex Bogdanovic WR 310 v (Q) Rik de Voest (RSA) WR 343 (CH 110 in 2006)
As the Count says, crazy that Alex has got three qualifiers in a row (these last two both having upset seeds) - de Voest leads the H2H 3-1 but his wins all came back in 2002-5 with Alex winning their last meeting in New Caledonia in 2009.

Regrettably, I think Mr Bogdanovic would be more than justified in avoiding Wimbledon (qualifying or main draw) like the plague: why set oneself up to be the target of unthinking, petty nastiness from the press, who seem to love nothing better than running an (almost) annual Wimbledon story portraying him as a hapless symbol of all that's wrong with GB tennis? I'd love to see him do really well in the Spring and Summer generally, though, and then have a good run at the USO.

double break, alex winning pretty much every extended rally. Adam changed his racket after the 1st point, then gave this one a gentle drop to the floor as the end of the game. looking good so far, alex got to stay error free and keep cool on serve.
