OK. Now I'm confused. The scoreboard went from 6-3 to 5-4. Then it showed 5-5 before now saying Josh lost 7-4 c

Whatever.  Sadly Josh misses out to Minar in a third set tiebreak.

Disappointing it may be.

But in the grand scheme of things, it is only a Minar setback !!

Would have been just what the doctor ordered for Josh's confidence at the moment, hopefully he can get back to winning titles at this level in Greece and build some confidence before playing on his beloved grass courts

Unlucky for Goodall, would've done him the world of good to win a third set tie-break. Hopefully he can repeat his win in Heraklion from last year, I think he said that period of 2012 was when he felt he was playing his best tennis of the year, but he just couldn't build on that in the resulting Challengers and GS qualifiers.

Worrying though that he's now lost 8 out of 9 TBs in 2013.

FINAL: (4) Dan Smethurst WR 427 beat (8) Jan Minar CZE WR 502 (CH 177 in 2008) by 3 & 4

Great week for Dan, who has now won 7 Futures singles titles and 7 Futures doubles titles, but this is the first time he has won both at the same event.

Well done, Dan !

Pushes him back well inside the top 400 and still only 22. It would be good to see him push on and break into the top 300 in the relatively near future.
