Week 12 - Great Britain F8 $10,000 - Sunderland - Hard

Qualifying draw is out - No Dan Evans, also assume that Richard Gabb has made the main draw as George Morgan is the top seed.

Also no Tom F in the draw - he's either withdrawn with the finger injury at Bath or has a WC into the main draw.

I'd have thought Tom would have a main draw WC if he wanted one.

Dan may have one too, of course - though the entry deadline for this was only two days before he ended up in the qualifying draw for Shrewsbury, so unless starting to play again in Shrewsbury was a last-minute (or rather, last 48 hour) decision, he could have simply entered for this one had he known he wanted to play.

George Morgan was second alt with two SEs to clear so I expected to see him in the main draw.

Broady, Carter and Bugby all look like good possibilities for main draw wild cards.

Given that Liam has just tweeted that he is "looking forward to Sunderland" I would say you have got a least 1 out of 3, and I happen to agree with you over the other two as well.

Toby Martin wins first set 6-3

This is a particularly weak main draw and i think GB will take most of the seeding positions, so i would hope to get at leat 7 GB players in the QF and I expect Ed to go well again this week.

The race to get into the top 25 is also getting interesting - quite a few candidates fighting for these positions.

Dan Evans has indeed got a wildcard along with Robert Carter, Liam Broady and Tom F

GB have 6 of the 8 seeds - will Jack Carpenter be Josh Goodall's nemesis this week?

Martin v Gille has gone to a final set tiebreak. Toby has was 14 of the 15 break points in this match, taking 3/3 and saving 11/12 on his own serve!

Doubles Draw is out. Only 7 pairs have entered this week so the top seeds get a bye to the SFs and everyone else a bye to QFs. Evo again teams up with Burton so I think it is safe to assume that he has a main draw wild card for the singles.

Rice and Thornley have gone across looking for points in the States(i think). Ed Corrie has sat out doubles for the last couple of weeks, despite rising into the top 300 of the doubles rankings

Hudson has surrendered an early break and looks like going into a first set tie breaker

Morgan has taken the first set 6-1
