4 Brits through today would be a success I'd say and 2 in the quarters after that.
Well it can't be less than 2, and Tara is 5-1 up in the third, so 4 would mean 1 win from the 4 remaining Brit vs. non-Brit match-ups. Not very ambitious, but I think spot on.
One more thing. It would be interesting to know why folk joined this forum. I joined because I enjoy British tennis and following the fortunes, good or bad, of British tennis players. Three years ago, finding results wasn't an easy task. Thankfully, betting sites, phone apps, and more recently the ITF sites have made it much easier, but three years ago, this forum was a great resource because of the many knowledgeable visitors.
Also, Steven's Top 25 table is a masterpiece of up-to-date information.
So why did you join? To follow British players or a favourite player? To learn more about British players? To criticise players based on a result? To find opportunities to watch tennis? Maybe to demostrate your knowledge or love of the game? To help find betting tips? (Phil Wright's comments, particularly on the women's side have been very useful for me). Would be genuinely interested to know.
Happy to be of service on the betting front ;) I've always found it more difficult to predict results in individual sports compared to team sports.
I have spoken to alot of the British players so am never going to write anything critical about them, analyse their performances sure but no criticism. I think this forum should be more about support than slagging them off. Also don't enjoy the perpetual slagging off of the LTA either, they get enough of that from the British media. I suspect the main reason for their spin on performances is because they feel they are having to defend their position time after time, a bit like a political party. Also I'm all for honest opinion but we really need to choose our words wisely.
