Fantastic . Great win. I love it when these guys play together. (Not a majority view I know )
I don't mind them playing together I just feel that Jamie has repeatedly used his matches with Andy to prop up his ranking rather than concentrate on finding a long term partner.
To some degree I do sympathise with Jamie. He must frequently think what might have been had Andy not had such a good singles career. These two would have been a great doubles partnership and playing together week in week out who knows what they could have achieved.
I wish people would leave Jamie alone. He is an extremely accomplished doubles player. He has won enough with a host of different partners to prove that.
No doubting Jamie is an extremely good doubles player, actually probably better than his ranking indicates.
I know when I for one talk ( to some extent jest ) about playing with Andy to prop up his ranking, it is more exasperation that he hasn't a settled partner rather than the "host of different partners" that he has had. If he could find a good, compatible partner it might be more satisfying for all ( OK, for some of us moaners anyway ) and he could well be a fair bit higher ranked.
R2: (WC) Andy Murray & Jamie Murray vs Treat Huey & Jerzy Janowicz (PHI/POL) R2: (ALT) Pablo Andújar & Daniel Gimeno (ESP/ESP) vs Colin Fleming & Paul Hanley (AUS)
Both winnable matches, I'd've thought - says she, sticking her neck out...!
Seeds seem be an endangered species in Indian Wells in both the singles and the doubles! Only the top two seeded pairs are left now: the Bryans (1) & Granollers & López.
