I have found out that i am likely to be in the London area for the week off the AEGON championships at Queens and would like to go down to watch.
I have never been before and the Monday and Tuesday are probably the most suitable days(might be a few Brits still playing then!!). Do I need to buy tickets in advance or can i turn up on the day? The website suggest a ballot with some tickets going on general sale.
Any feedback would be welcome.

There was a ballot for Queens tickets and tickets were offered this week to the lucky ones who's names were drawn. It is very expensive though; more than Wimbledon.
However, you can also:-
1. Watch qualifying on Saturday and Sunday (and see a lot of RG escapees adjusting to grass) For health and safety reasons there is a limit of 500 spectators per day within the grounds of The Queens Club on Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 June. Admission to the qualifying tournament is FREE.
2. General Sale Ground Admission tickets, as well as any returned Centre Court and Court 1 tickets, will be sold from 10am on Wednesday 17 April via the website www.aegonchampionships.com and telephone booking line 0844 209 7356.
3. Ground Passes - queueing on the day. I'm not sure if this applies to Semi's/Final.
A small number of Centre Court returns and over half of all Ground Admissions are available to purchase on the gate each day. It is difficult to advise what time to arrive. The size of the queue depends greatly on the weather and the matches scheduled for the day.
Here's a link to the Aegon Championships tickets page on the LTA website with the info you'll need http://www.lta.org.uk/fans-major-events/LTA-summer-grass-court-events/Aegon-Championships/Tickets/
