I wonder if Ed's run of playing the same opponents week in, week out is having a detrimental effect in that they can formulate a game plan and Ed's motivation could be waining.

If there is one weakness in Ed's game for indoor tennis, he hasn't got a really big serve.

I'm hoping that Dan Evans returns to form this week and this kickstarts his season.

Ed breaks to 0 in the opening game of the decider & consolidates the break by holding his own service to 15:  *2-1.

Clearly not the Belgian mad man's day:

QF:  Sander Gille & Jonas Merckx (BEL/BEL) UNR defeated (3) Alexandre Folie & Yannick Vandenbulcke (BEL/BEL) WR 1481 by 0 & 0 disbelief

The unranked Belgian pair will play the winners of the Bains/Evans vs Corrie/Skupski match in the semi.  They'd better watch out!
