Very good week for Dan, aside from a huge scare in the QF. Lets hope he can build on it. Aside from his Le Gosier points (14) in a few weeks he has nothing of note to defend until August so has the chance to move quickly up the rankings.
Not a bad week for Marcus either, his resurgence continues.
Yes, my fault. I've been having terrible trouble with my Internet connection all day (getting only 0.02 MB/s on download) and the video took about 10 minutes to play through (when it's only 78 seconds long) so I listened while working as it deigned to play for a few seconds before stopping again, etc - I didn't think I'd read the article but my eyes must have strayed down to the last paragraph at some point and wishful thinking (plus the fact it seemed plausible that if there was a string of Challengers over there, it might be worth some of them making the trip) did the rest.
It's a pity anyway, I wish some of them would go and try their luck!

I see there is a video from Shrewsbury with interviews with the finalists on LTA site. I cannot access it at the moment, but will be interesting to see what was said.
Dan seems to imply that he and Marcus are off to Mexico, hopefully that means to play the Challengers there.
The article says five tournaments in Mexico and the US. They haven't entered Le Gosier (25/03) but from the first week in April there are challenger events in Leon, Gaudalajara, Mexico City, Savannah and Tallahassee. It would be brilliant to see Dan and Marcus trying to play all five of them, especially since Dan hasn't played outside of the British Isles since Le Gosier last year.
I think the article is implying that it's Dave and Sean who are off to Mexico for the Challengers.
'Meanwhile in the mens doubles final David Rice & Sean Thornley won their 17th pro career title together as a pair, beating the un-seeded Belgian duo of Sander Gille & Jonas Merckx 6-2, 6-1.'
'After the match both players were understandably delighted with another title and commented: "It was nice to head up the days schedule, with good support from the spectators in the stand. Were now off to Mexico and the USA for five tournaments and hope to really push on with our rankings."'
