Does anyone know if the matches are still going to be played today?
Doesn't look like it. Both the ITF live scores and Flashscores are supposed to be covering matches but there doesn't seem to be any activity. Flashscores is still saying "interrupted" as it as most of the day. So the weather looks to be winning again.
Oh, and welcome

Steven beat me to a post about Matt Short's QF opponent by 8 seconds, but I assume he can't be @rsed with developments in the doubles, where there were no fewer than five walkover "wins" in the first round, one of which benefitted Fitzy & Matt Short:
R1: Andrew Fitzpatrick & Matt Short WR 1304 "defeated" (2) Fabricio Neis & Carlos Eduardo Severino (BRA/BRA) WR 933 by a walkover
And, believe it or not, they got another in the QF:
QF: Andrew Fitzpatrick & Matt Short WR 1304 "defeated" Lucas Dourado & Alexandre Tsuchiya [themselves the beneficiaries of one of the other four walkovers!] (BRA/BRA) UNR by a walkover
Their semi-final opponents will be a pair of unranked Portu-gooses or, more likely, the Spanish fourth seeds, Arauzo & Pulgar. I can only assume that the players concerned in all the walkovers had more important fish to fry elsewhere next week...
No, I can't, sorry - not until the finals in 10Ks anyway. Apparently, away from UK events, most of the players can't be bothered either!
Anyway, you do such a good job of keeping us up to date with the doubles (and adding a bit extra to the bare results) that it always seems better to leave you and the other doubles fans to it.
I've never quite got the Portu-goose thing, but wouldn't the plural be Portu-geese?

Matt lost the 1st set 6-3 but won the 2nd by the same score, though Olaso has just broken in the 1st game of the decider. Both have won marginally more points receiving than serving.

I'm not sure whether it's more shocking that Olaso has had 23 break points so far or impressive that Matt has saved 17 of them (while taking 6/11 himself) - anyway, he has just got the first hold in the 3rd 3-6 6-3 2-1*
