Terrible draw for Matt Short. Tavares been to two challenger finals. This after playing Machado last week.

just like to add a quick note that nikki roenn last night was involved in a 4 and half hour match which was finished in the freezing cold under flood lights. Epic match where is had match points but just could convert. Guy was a hook as well. tough loss. great effort.
400 players at the tennis centre and no practise courts, makes it very difficult.
raining at the moment so will be a delay today

Damn 4 1/2 hours ?  Good job they only played best of three sets and not five.  They would have had to extend the tournament for another week biggrin  And as you say, that must be tough to take.

Can't understand why they would have a 128 player draw and not start until Saturday.  Doesn't leave much margin for error if there are weather delays.

When does your draw get announced.  Got my fingers crossed for you.  Let's hope you can beat the odds and avoid a seed for once. Or are you seeded this time ?  Looks borderline again.

Indeed, Tavares has been as high as WR 186 (in 2010), but ...

Catala Juan is a 14-year-old and has just managed his first back to back wins in Futures qualies for the loss of just 4 games. However, Matt is shown as in the FQR which suggests Catala Juan may have withdrawn, but it doesn't say w/o underneath ...
