Not good enough really. Jamie James and Josh seem destined to be stuck in this 200-300 bracket. The men's game in Britain really is in a mess above futures level.

He lost a tight match, it happens. Baker will get the results sooner or later.

Darn. Pity, but as with Dan Smethurst in Cardiff he didn't ultimately get the job done.

Is that a promise, TMS, or at least results to really move up the rankings ?

I like Jamie and would love to see him break back into the top 200 again and go well past his CH. But I'm quite far from convinced.

Baker has never really been one for the indoor courts, i'm confident he will get a few SF's in the American challengers later on in the year with a chance for a final. The calendar has some weird weeks with 5 or 6 challengers in which a few of our guys should be looking to go deep in, in terms of quality not much separate 150-250 all you need is a good run of form.

Bad loss for Jamie today, his opponent had only won one match all year before this (and like Jamie from what I saw of the stream was like Jamie not a player whos game is suited to indoor play).

Jamie is playing two futures in Canada the next two weeks, hope he can get his form back after losing first round last four tournaments. For some reason the first tournament looks a bit weaker so hopefully he can get it going there.
