Good stuff, would be great if Kyle could get to the business end this week , i.e. at least semis.

And a match up with "Busta" smile

Cheers Bob - looking forward to your report.

It is going to be a while, I'm afraid.  Have to go back out to work now.  It should be up by about 10pm UK time.

That's a match I'd love Kyle to make it through to play........to do so would require 3 match victories against players almost certainly ranked well above him, meaning he's very well played in, has already a nice haul of 6 ranking points, and (let's be honest) Buster is probably playing at a 100-150 level, at least, so it would be a terrific test of how far he has come already. Hope he can do it....tough, but 1 down 2 to go to for a shot at the Grand Fromage.

I'm flagrantly discounting any possibility of Buster losing before the semi, but with 20 singles victories in a row (plus 4 doubles for good measure!) and 27 out of 28 this year.....it's a pretty good bet. I wonder if he's closing in on some kind of ITF tournament record?

L32: (WC) Kyle Edmund WR 554 beat Joao Pedro Sorgi (BRA) WR 501 by 3 & 2 biggrin

L16: (WC) Kyle Edmund WR 554 v Oriol Roca Batalla (ESP) WR 795 (CH 766 last Apr)

Roca Batalla was a top 50 junior in 2011, who lost to both Morgan Phillips and Jack Carpenter last year, but was clearly in good form today!

Cheers Bob, good chance for Kyle to pick up a few points now.

Are you there all week?

Need to find another excuse to get off work tomorrow.  Much will depend on the time Kyle is playing.  The later the better for me.

There's always the question of course as to how well are these players who beat the seeds playing ?

Hopefully though it can indeed be a very good week for Kyle.

Thanks for the reports Bob, also now following you on twitter !

Kyle continues to impress which is no surprise to me, can't see any downside to his potential development. Pretty confident we're looking at a solid top 50 player within the next 5 years.

Thanks for the report again Bob. Draw easing significantly for Kyle to advance to the semis........where he most likely would come up against YOU KNOW WHO. Not Voldermort, the other one.......

1 match at a time though. Good luck for tomorrow.

Saw you had joined my list on Twitter.

I have a free pass to go and watch tomorrow so hope to come back with another (winning) report.  Kyle's fan club is growing over here.  Took a couple of friends with me on Monday and they enjoyed it so much, they are going again tomorrow.  Also our local club coach is joining us.  If he makes the final, I may have to hire a minibus biggrin
