Our good friend Pablo Carreno-Busta has just won the final of Cartagena against Kyle's conqueror last week by 6-1 6-0!
Yes, that scoreline is not a typo. So that's 5 tournaments and 25 matches in a row. This guy seems quite a players, and one to look out for in the future.
He's not on the entry list for next week's Spanish futures, but is entered in the 2 following events. A well deserved rest. Although with today's scoreline, I'd be on the phone to try and secure a WC immediately, to keep the run going.
5 Futures in a row is very impressive. What's the record, though? I was thinking Eric Prodon but whilst he did have a fairytale summer in 2007, when he reached 10 finals in a row (3 of them Challengers), the greatest streak of Futures he managed was a paltry 2.

The record is 8, Arnau Brugues-Davi last year (previous to that, it had been 7 by Eduardo Schwank a few years earlier), though there were Challenger/ATP losses in between, i.e. he won 8 consecutive Futures entered.
