RE: Week 8 - ITF ($25K) - Surprise, USA - Hard

No this is not, sadly, news about the score in Tara's QF, sorry!

Tara is/ was down to playing qualies at the new WTA in Florionapolis in Brazil next week (Anne should be MD) but I'm assuming win or lose she won't be playing?

The Qualifying draw for Florianopolis is up, and as PockyTastic surmised, Tara is not on it.

You got me this time, blob (actually the ITF site got me - if you work from the opponent's player page (which I do after I have checked the opponent's ranking and career high) and put Moore into the H2H player 2 box, there are so many of them that Tara doesn't appear in the list (why they limit the number on it, I don't know), so I always have to go back to Tara's player record, which used to make it fill in her name in the player 1 box but now it doesn't even do that any more so now it is impossible to check any H2H for Tara until the ITF draw has been updated, when you can click the H2H link on the draw. I ended up having to use the WTA site instead.

ITF ... making the life of a tennis fan harder every day

I've resorted to using my memory (scary!)

Ah well, none of it changes a great win

Not sure, I only really use the WTA site for photos now, as I find it muddled and almost wilfully obstructive for info on scores, and rankings, and tournaments and...

So, I just checked my recollection at the USTA Rancho Santa Fe page: http://assets.usta.com/assets/1/15/singles_draw229.PDF

As you suggest, there may be other results in H2H outstanding if neither ITF or WTA can now be relied upon to be up to date and/or accurate no

Tara's SF is 2nd up after 18:00 UK.

It will be live scored, so we can all agonise over that and over analyse and interpret it as usual

I'm not convinced that this new ITF live score service for most matches at most tournaments isn't actually a bad thing in many ways, as we all seem to be going a bit stir crazy with the overload of information. Myself very much in the vanguard there.
Much saner seem the the days when you only read about it in the newspapers - 6 weeks later - nodded a brief acknowledgement, and perhaps elicited a phlegmatic, 'good show!'.

I've tried to check back through Tara's senior and junior matches and can only find the two matches against Pavlovic, i.e. 2008 and 2013.

Well done again Tara. A great result. With the new big boss around to advise, support, mentor and motivate, I'm sure no stone was left unturned ahead of that last match, and Tara has been showing excellent form this year as well.

Let's hope both Tara's form and IB's positive influence stick around the whole weekend. Good luck!
