Yes, it is disappointing to have such a huge rankings gap after EWS, the current GB no 13 and WR 460. It, of course, indicates a real lack of depth and the sort of aspect never acknowledged by the LTA in their very selective and moveable assessments. Just as relatively barren junior year groups are passed by for mention of others.
As I indicated in the Swedish 10K thread yesterday; the only person I see bridging that gap in rhe short to medium term is the returning Anna Smith.
As for other younger players, Lucy Brown and Fran Stephenson's progression seems to have stalled. Maybe Harriet Dart could push up there in a year or two. And there is Eleanor Dean, so hampered by unjury. Such as Katie Dunne and Katie Boultter are others that may have chances in time. But noone really stands out.

Sadly Emily couldn't claim a second title down under.
