It wasn't great from Heather. If someone wanted to go as far as "shocking" I might disagree, but its a viewpoint that I could take at least as much as what to me is an overpropensity by some to just concentrate on optmistic aspects.
And it wasn't great from JoKo, particularly that serving.
Yes, I can't say I'm surprised that while Heather and JoKo finished at roughly the same time last night, Jaggy didn't feel the need to venture into the Memphis thread to comment on Heather's result. No doubt it would have been something along the lines of 'what a shocking performance, being pushed to the brink by someone outside the top 100'...
His English is so bad, he probably would have said 'outside of'!
With reference to the Fed Cup, Argentinian Ormaechea is having a good run again on the clay She beat Bratchikova in R1 and then last night, Schiavone in 3 sets. Next up Torro-Flor.
Hopefully our girls will show similar clay form soon enough

Paula was poor in the final, but JJ really didnt give her any room to manoeuvre at all. Otherwise she has been very impressive and will be a tough competitor no doubt.
I'm certainly glad the Fed Cup isn't next week - plenty of time for player's form to change but I expect Ormaechaea to be comfortably the toughest opponent on the Argentine team.
