Interesting start. Joko broke Meichar in the opening service game and now has break points against her own serve at *15-40. And there's the break back. 1-1.

As you were; both held for 2-2.  Joko is serving first.

JoKo's match should be up very soon now - the preceding match has just completed.

Q1: KONTA, Johanna (GBR) 4 143 defeated MELICHAR, Nicole (USA) 436 6-4 6-3
Q2: KONTA, Johanna (GBR) 4 143 v MRDEZA, TEREZA (CRO) 188

Mrdeza has not beaten a player in the top 150 since, at least, 2011. Clay results decent at 25/50k level but unspectacular.
Johanna should be looking to win comfortably enough, and so set up the probably tougher FQR

JoKo and Mrdeza are close in age (the Croat is 6 months older) and Johanna thrashed her 1 & 1 on clay in Mostar back in 2008.

Not necessarily - Sevastova's win earlier was in QR1, she still has to play Krunic in QR2 (n/b 20.00 GMT this evening)

D'oh - from *4-1 double break up, JoKo ends up set point down at 5-6*

Saved by Mrdeza double faulting.

Another set point for the Croat though, this time on Jo's serve, and she takes it 6-3 6-7(6)
