Allgurin hit a career high 652 in 2009 when she was just 15, so it is surprising that she has not gone higher since then. However, the reason for that career high was a one-off, a R1 win at Bastad WTA against Palkina (then top 200, I think), while her low ranking now is at least partly explained by the fact that the only match ITF shows her playing between late August 2011 and mid-October 2012 was that Fed Cup doubles rubber against GB in Boras. When she did come back last autumn, she reached a final and a semi-final, in both cases through qualifying.
