Good to see Ed Corrie playing again after his recent medical problems.

Yes. But did he have to beat Vidal sa soon in the tournament.  Couldn't he have waited until later.

Only 2 games dropped by the winners of the two semis - sadly partly due to yet another retirement by Bloomers who was 6-0 1-0 down against top seed Ed at the time. Ed will play 2nd seed Neil Pauffley, who beat Adam Thornton-Brown 1 & 1.

Bloomers and Josh Milton meet in the Cardiff final (a Tier 2 event) tomorrow.

Next week will be at Felixstowe on grass. An excellent idea to provide a warm up pre Nottingham but, not too many ranked players are there...........Bloomfield is listed again, and Prakash Armitraj which surprised me!

Josh won the Cardiff final beating Richard in two sets.

This week at Felixstowe Marcus Willis, Richard and Lewis Burton are the top three seeds hopefully getting a little grass court practise in the Tier 1.

Awesome field in Nottingham this week as most of the guys who lost in the challenger quallies have stayed on for this event.

It was a cracking field and Richard Gabb defeated Dan Smethurst in the semi's and Neil Pauffley in the final to take the title.

Just noticed that George Morgan received a WC and was top seed in the Tier 2 event in Newcastle this week. He lost his first match 6-4 6-3 to Jonathan Binding (?), who was promptly on the receiving end of a double bagel him in the next round! No doubt George didn't put too much effort or attention towards the tournament, but that's a pretty shocking result regardless.

I am guessing George has been injured as he hasn't played a futures since mid June but even so that is a shocking result.

Must have been the quickest day of tennis ever yesterday for the British Tour in West Worthing.

Josh Goodall won 1-0 retired

Max England won walkover

Worth every penny for the spectators !!
