Holding 8 match points in a MTB must be one of the more pleasant positions to be in !

Well done, guys.

Just to repeat the semi-final pairing posted with the result of the quarter-final match at the bottom of the previous page to keep it on the current one:

SF: (1) Jamie Delgado & Ken Skupski vs Dominik Meffert & Philipp Oswald (GER/AUT)

Home & dry in 22 seconds shy of an hour!  smile

SF: (1) Jamie Delgado & Ken Skupski defeated Dominik Meffert & Philipp Oswald (GER/AUT) by 7-6(3) 6-1

The Frog WCs, Jouan & Reix, or the second seeds, Brunström & Klaasen, in the final.  They need to win it if they're to defend their points this week.

I thought they were never going to get the better of their opponents in the first set:  in the bag by 7-6(3). smile

It may just be that the loss of the tie-break broke the Austro-German partnership's resistance.  At any rate, Delgo & Skups are looking much more comfortable in the second set:  4-1*.  wink

Jamie/Ken up 4-1* early doors, drilling a few balls at Brunstrom at the net off return in the 4th game to get the break.

Not the greatest tennis, but Jamie/Ken take the first set 6-3.
