RE: Week 7 - Challenger (€42,500+H) - Quimper, France (hard)

Ken isn't a happy bunny today ... have to say it's very odd to be somewhere in France and not find something to eat somewhere - even on a Sunday!

Ken Skupski @k_skupski

No food at club, restaurant, room service, local restaurant, supermarket or dominos.
Considering my left arm. Slightly more meat. #shocker

Not sure if Rice/Thornley signed in here, but they would have been over 100 places out if they did. The lack of challengers is really killing them at the moment. They said they were going to play the block of challengers in Mexico then USA starting at the end of March but until then they may have to look for some 15k events to play instead of the 10ks in GB.

QF:   (1) Jamie Delgado & Ken Skupski vs (WC) Maxime Authom & Charles-Antoine Brezac (BEL/FRA)

No fourth seeds likely to be lying in wait for them, should they reach the semi-final tomorrow.  They (the Polish pair, Bednarek & Kowalczyk) were beaten by the Israelis, Sela & Weintraub, by 7-6(4) 2-6 [4-10] yesterday.  In fact, the only other seeds left in the draw are Brunström & Klaasen (2).

And the Israelis, who I thought might be a bit of a threat, were taken out by the Austro-German pairing of Philipp Oswald & Dominik Meffert this afternoon, apparently fairly easily (by 1 & 4)! disbelief

Authom/Brezac took the 2nd set 6'2.
Hope Delgado and Skupski can win this on the CTB

The Brits are serving first:
*1-0, 2-0*, 3-0* (double break = nice cushion), *4-0, *4-1, 5-1* at the change of ends.
