One of the nice stats on this "new" (or at least "who knew") ITF livescore site is the max number of points in a row won. In the case of Neil......he managed to lose 13 points in a row today.
The fact that this was also at the end of set 2, when a set up and on serve, explains the entire match.......huge momentum swing from a winning position........to 1 set all and down a break in the third.
I must personally apologize to Neil for giving him a little extra emotional support this season for having done so well last year from a standing start having been 20 months out injured, yet being overlooked for Team Aegon. Clearly this must have jinxed him, as he has had a lot of tough draws and close matches which tended to go his way last year, but not so far in 2013!
Alternatively, it may just be the curse of La Manga......Bob in Spain will know for sure who was out there, but it would appear (amongst the young guys at least) that if you were there (based on all those thumbs up photos on the LTA website), chances are your season has started with a lot less ranking points than you were hoping for, and in many cases, none at all! Which is the opposite of what you would really expect.
Thanks Sally - I didn't get the chance to write it out last night (ended up sleeping 11 hours, probably because it was only 1 hour the night before!) so I was intending to do the list with up to date rankings included once R1 finishes.
Just realised that if you click on the link to the ITF live scores (either from here or on one of the GB top 25 tables) and get the error page but you then click in the URL bar and press enter, it treats it as if you have pasted the URL there and works. Not ideal, but maybe a bit less hassle than copying and pasting the full URL in.

No worries. There's a fuller draw with all the christian names and stuff here on MTF.
Phew, Fitzy held. Rosenholm to serve to stay in the match.
I don't think the ITF scoreboard is showing ALL matches. Just spotted this tweet from Mylo Orton.
Myles Elliott Orton @mylo_orton Lost 6-1, 6-2. Guy is different level to me atm. Back to training for a couple weeks before next lot of futures. #workonthings
