alex an early break down, jenkins playing well.

googled some info on him:

Virginia Cavaliers
Fall 2012
Went 15-2 in singles and 8-3 in doubles
ITA Indoor Intercollegiate singles champion
Won singles flight at UVa Ranked+1 Invitational
ITA Atlantic Regional singles runner-up
Both singles losses came to UVa teammates (Stylsinger, Richmond)
Teamed with Mac Styslinger to reach doubles final of ITA All-American Championships and semifinals of ITA Indoor Intercolelgiate Championships

Alex breaks back, needed a few chances but got there in the end as a looping deep return gets Jenkins jammed up and he puts it wide.

Alex looking like he's playing pretty well which is always nice to see.

I still don't get his thinking for clay at the start of the season though, its never going to be his best surface, why "waste money" when he could be winning a lot of matches on hard courts where he plays well?

alex is based in florida now, he was there all winter training so it's not that costly for him, perhaps he also felt clay is better match practice, it makes you play shots etc.

alex breaks to got 2-1 in the 2nd set. jenks saved one BP with a big 2nd serve, looked close to a DF, good play by Alex got another BP and this time Jenks did hit the DF.

That would makes sense financially then

Good to see his shot making ability having effect on these quicker courts though! Now a break up in the 2nd

alex at 15-30 after a wayward smash, hits a net court serve ont he next point, you can almost see the players stop for a millisecond before continuing.
