CHAS is the Childrens Hospice Association Scotland and it runs Rachael and Robin House which gives resbite and long terms care for terminally ill children and their families.
They rely on donations to the tune of £7m a year. She has been given a CHAS full fund raising pack etc and lots of encouragment from them!
Donating could not be easier through the web site. Virgin do all the hardwork including getting the gift aid money direct from the government.
This is my daughters page on virginmoneygiving.com..she is 13 years old and recovered from severe facial neuralgia and non-epileptic seizures last year.
Our lives were basically on hold last year as we helped her through it.
She will swim a kilometre at the end of February. She is not a great swimmer and chose this as it will be a real challenge for her.

Hi, I am Abigael Ada Brown. I am 13 years old and I am doing a Kilometer swim for CHAS. The reason I am doing this is because I was unwell last year and want do something positive for others.
I suffered from severe facial neuralgia for 5 months in 2012. I was in ward 29 Ninewells Hospital in Dundee on numerous occasions. I met some other kids in my ward and I became good friends with them. They inspired me to keep my chin up and keep going. All the nurses, doctors, my parents and family encouraged me to keep going and think positive. From March to July I was in and out of Ninewells but now I am back to good health. I went back full time to School at the start of October last year.
My condition led me to pass out suddenly. I collapsed several times and I suffered from injuries such as a dislocated knee, fractured wrist and torn ligaments in my ankle. The facial pain was also unbearable however this is nothing compared to the terminal illnesses the children at CHAS have to deal with.
These children and their families need help. I want to give them something special and make them happy. I want to do something that will help keep their chins up and help them to have fun times with their families.
CHAS need £7,000,000 a year to keep going and I will help raise money to help these children. I am going to keep pushing myself and pushing myself until I reach 50 lengths and see a smile on their faces.
Donations are deeply appreciated and I hope to meet my target when I swim at the end of February.
That sounds like a frightening year you've had, no wonder we haven't seen so much of you! It's very cool of Abigael to want to do something like this under the circumstances and I hope it all goes well.
