That must be a very pleasing win indeed, given the 0-4 H2H and the thrashing Glushko gave her in the Lexington Final.

In R2, the GB no. 3 slot is at stake, since JoKo will overtake Anne if she gets to the QFs.

H2H v Bychkova is 0-1, a 3-set loss on grass at last year's Nottingham 50K.

It's about the right time for Johanna to win one of these higher level ITF events and if she is on form this looks a good opportunity with no player ranked inside the top 100.

In the end, she dropped just 3 points in the last 6 games from 0-4 down in the 2nd. This win will take her to GB no. 3 at a new career high in the low 140s.

QF: (7) Johanna Konta WR 147 v (2) Elina Svitolina (UKR) WR 125

Svitolina is still only 18 and was world junior no. 1 in 2010 at the age of 15 after winning the Roland Garros girls' title. She reached a WTA career high of 112 in December after winning the Pune WTA Challenger, beating Date-Krumm in the Final.
