RE: Week 5 - Challenger ($50,000) - Burnie, Australia (hard)

Washout again in Oz. Not a single point played. Friday's OOP basically a repeat of Thursday. At this rate, either the final would need to push back to Sunday, or both semis and finals would be played on Saturday, after 2 matches on Friday! Weather forecast seems OK from now on.

Aargh - dfs to give Lemke another bp but holds on for 1-3*

40-15 on Lemke's serve but James ends up getting a bp, then another ... but Lemke holds on. Both have take 1 out of 5 bps in the 3rd set so far and 3/7 for Lemke c.f. 2/8 for Ward in the match overall.

6-4 3-6 *3-4

It's a poor result I don't think there is any point looking fo excuses nor is there any point trying to comfort the loss with the fact he moves above Josh in the rankings.

Really disappointed James lost this and it's a game he should have won. It seems to me that James is very much a momentum player and this week seems to go on runs within the match and then really bad patches. Once he got broken on serve for the first time in the second set, he struggled with the serve for the rest of the match.

Wasn't expecting that all from James. Very poor
