I really wish I could be there to watch Evo v Willis. Some sublime points are guaranteed in that one.

George Morgan appears to have improved in the off season.

Well Evo certainly seems to have upped his game since yesterday. Marcus doing well too. Should be interesting!

Glasgow Herald had an article today about the 2 players with famous siblings: Marko Djokovic and Christian Harrison. Seems Marko has had a torrid time with illness and injury and was unlucky to meet Richard Bloomfield on what seems a purple patch. Now Harrison must try to defend the family honour!

Some very interesting results there.

Morgan testing Goodall to the limit is a good sign for things to come from him this year i hope

Quigley looks to be the dark horse as Alex Ward had a great win against Fischer yesterday

Very convincing for Bloomfield, handing out a bagel and a bread stick. I put him favorite to take the title after that

Somebody asked Janowicz after the match with Devvarman what he had been doing "this time last year." He noted that he'd been playing in the GB 10,000 Futures (it was F2 -- Sheffield). Lost to David Rice in the quarters. Inglot was in the doubles, too.

Be interesting to see whether any of this year's players will be playing somewhere quite different next year. Some good candidates for the next step up.

ITF H2Hs:

Milton 2-1 v Goodall

Corrie 0-1 v Quigley (Charlottesville Challenger 2012, 4 & 2, though they may well have played each other while at college too)

Bloomers 0-0 v Harrison (funny that he is playing the brothers of two players who met in R2 of the Aus Open yesterday on successive days!)

Willis 3-2 v Evans (2-2 in seniors, Dan winning twice in 2008, Marcus twice in 2010 - the other Marcus win was in juniors)

Both of his senior wins against Evo came on grass in the summer of 2010 (one of the real low points in Evo's career).

Marcus has been training really hard recently-I think he might surprise some people this year.

Glad to hear it polly. I like watching Marcus play and always feel he should have done better. Last September I overheard him talking at Nottingham about how determined he was to really give his career a good shot. He obviously regretted that previously he hasn't put in as much work as he really should have.

However he is only winning this match if Evo plays badly.
